Khmer Daily, 26 April 2018, Cambodia’s six agricultural goods being pushed for export to ASEAN (Khmer language)

The news covers Facilitating Trade for Agricultural Goods in ASEAN (FTAG) project’s Regional Workshop organized on 26-27 April 2018 in Phnom Penh. The FTAG project supports trade facilitation by tackling issue on phytosanitary barriers on six commodities: mango, banana, chili, lychee, longan and dragon fruit between Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam.

The article includes speech by Dr. Chan Phaloeun, Deputy Director General, General Directorate of Agriculture, Cambodia on the need for quality inspection capacity and phytosanitary cooperation to better facilitate trade of agricultural goods agreed between the three countries, while preventing spread of dangerous pest to protect agricultural production and biodiversity as well as to facilitate international trade activities.
